UNIVERSITY AMBASSADORS PROGRAMME

The main purpose of this project is to establish partnership and cooperation with Polish universities involved in space industry, mainly through contact with students and other academic organisations. Long-term goals include:

  • activating young professionals involved in space industry
  • information about current events within the space sector
  • providing contact opportunities with employees & employers from the space industry
  • assistance in the implementation of individual projects

Through the mentioned activities, we would like to ensure the inflow of new members and therefore to introduce decentralised model of the organisation (we want our members to actively engage in the daily association's activities and in the space industry).

A significant advantage would include attraction of new employees in the future and thus development of the Polish space industry.

If you consider yourself as a suitable person for the role of association's ambassador at your university,

please contact us even before we reach out to you!

We are also planning to organise a panel discussion on the topic of "How to utilise the potential of Polish space professionals working abroad?”, as well as having a video call with Kiruna, where the FREDE team will participate in this year’s ESA BEXUS mission - flying their experiment on a balloon into the atmosphere.

POLISH TRAINEE PROGRAMME AT ESA

The project includes actions to promote formation of the Polish Trainee Programme at Europan Space Agency.

The first step is to conduct a survey among former participants of National Trainee Programmes from other European countries. National Trainee Programme is currently available in the following countries:

  • Portugal
  • Germany
  • Switzerland
  • Luxembourg
  • Belgium
  • Spain
  • Greece
  • Malta (cooperation with ESA within PECS)

Thanks to that we will obtain valuable arguments for further discussions and proposals we would like to introduce to entities associated with the space sector in Poland. Showing exemplary solutions from other countries allows to better understand what opportunities for the participants and companies could be created with the National Trainee Programme. In addition, it will allow to borrow good and avoid bad solutions that have been already tested by the other countries.

The formation of such a programme is likely to be a multistep process and will take several years.
